Savannah was a pretty little princess, thank you very much, and she always got what she wanted. Sure, her parents didn't have a lot of time but they did happen to have a lot of money and were always making up for their lack of attention by buying her any and everything she desired.
Upon entering Kindergarten, she learned that the teachers at her school didn't work under that same principle. To her dismay, she was treated exactly like all the other boys and girls in her class.
Also, to her dismay, Savannah didn't have many friends at school. She was a loner. She ate lunch alone, she played in the centers alone... she even played on the playground alone.
One recess after a particularly rough day... or as rough of a day as you could have if you were a five year old Savannah... she'd walked onto the playground with the rest of her class, fully intending to spend the half-hour on the swings. And wouldn't you know it, every single swing was occupied when she got out there. Well, wasn't that just her luck.
After sizing up each of the occupants, she waltzed right over to an older looking boy and declared, "It's my turn, now."
The boy looked at her a moment before finally returning. "I'll be finished in just a minute."
Savannah stood there, staring at him, completely shell shocked at being told no.
"It's my turn, now," she repeated, instantly assuming that he hadn't heard her correctly.
"I'll be finished in just a minute," he repeated with just as much authority.
Her brow furrowed and she glared at the selfish little boy who wouldn't get off the swing. She didn't want to wait a minute she wanted to swing now and she wanted to swing until she had to go back to class. He was preventing her from doing that.
Without another word she closed the space between her and 'Mr. Selfish' and pushed him just as hard as she could, knocking him backwards off the swing. He'd sputtered, of course, and his feet had been caught in the seat but he moved them quick enough as he tried to pick himself up from the ground.
"Thank you," she smiled her sweet smile as she slid into the swing he'd just been in.
Savannah was a pretty little princess, thank you very much, and if you doubted it, she was more than capable of proving it to you.

Apparently, my mother thinks it would be more appropriate if I moved back to their house until the wedding. She didn't seem to really notice or care when I moved out but, now, since she's planning a high society wedding, I should definitely not appear as if I'm living in sin.
